After Qaida
Nazra — reading the Quran with the text open
Nazra is reading the Quran itself, from the page, with a teacher listening. The Qaida taught the letters; this is where a child reads real ayat and is corrected while they do it.
From $45 a month
What this course covers
- Reading from the mushaf rather than from a worksheet
- Short surahs first, then the longer ones
- Correcting the sounds that are hardest for a non-Arabic speaker
- Pace, pauses and where to stop — the waqf signs
- Reading aloud without help, a little more each week
- A record of which surah your child has reached
This is the one for you if
- Your child has finished the Qaida
- They can read but make the same mistakes every time
- You want somebody listening to them read, not just setting homework
Not sure? You do not have to decide. The first class is the check — the teacher works out where your child actually is, and tells you.
