Questions parents ask
What it costs, who teaches, how lessons work, and what happens if it is not right for your child. If your question is not here, send it on WhatsApp — someone will answer it.
Before you book
How do we get started?
Fill in the form on any page — subject, where your child is up to, and your WhatsApp number — and we reply the same day to agree a time for the free trial lesson. There is nothing to pay and no card to enter.
Is the trial lesson really free?
Yes. It is a full lesson with a teacher, not a sales call, and nothing is charged for it. You decide afterwards whether to carry on.
What software do we need?
None. Lessons run on Google Meet in the browser — you click the link at the agreed time. A laptop or tablet, headphones, and paper and a pencil are all your child needs.
Can I choose the lesson times?
Yes. Mornings, evenings and weekends are all available, and we schedule around school rather than the other way round. Tell us the times that work and we will match a teacher to them.
Can I sit in on my child's lessons?
Yes, at any time and without telling us first. Most parents watch the first lesson or two and then step back. Female supervisors also monitor classes.
Will my child have the same teacher every time?
Yes. The same teacher stays with your child, so nobody spends the first ten minutes of each lesson working out what was covered last time.
What if my child does not get on with the teacher?
Tell us and we will change them. Personality fit matters more at this age than any qualification, and a child who dreads the lesson will not learn in it.
How will I know whether it is working?
You get regular feedback and progress reports, and you can ask for a parent-teacher conversation whenever you want one. You can also simply watch a lesson.
Can we request a female teacher?
Yes. Female and male teachers are both available, and we ask which you prefer when we reply on WhatsApp — so your child is matched before the first lesson rather than after it. Female supervisors also monitor classes.
Will I meet the teacher before I pay anything?
Yes. The free trial lesson is with the teacher your child would actually have, and it happens before any payment. That is the point of it.
Will my child have the same teacher each week?
Yes, so that the teacher knows what your child found hard last week and does not have to rediscover it. If the match is wrong we will change the teacher at no cost.
Can I watch a lesson?
At any time, without arranging it first. Lessons are 1-on-1 between your child and their teacher, and female supervisors monitor classes as well.
Do your teachers teach children specifically?
Yes. Teaching a seven-year-old through a screen is a particular skill — more questions, shorter turns, and knowing when to change activity before attention goes rather than after.
Quran questions
How much do online Quran classes cost?
Plans start at $45 a month for two 30-minute lessons a week, rising to $85 for five. In pounds that is £35 to £65. There is no registration fee and no contract, and the trial lesson is free.
Can my daughter have a female Quran teacher?
Yes. Female and male teachers are both available, and we ask which you prefer when we reply on WhatsApp — so your child is matched before the first lesson rather than after it. Female supervisors also monitor classes.
My child has never read Arabic. Where do you start?
With Noorani Qaida: the letters, their sounds, and the marks that shape them, before any reading of the Quran itself. Children who already read move straight to Nazra or Tajweed, which is what the first lesson establishes.
How long does it take to finish Hifz?
It depends on the child's age, memory and how many lessons a week they take, and anyone offering a fixed number has not met your child. After a few lessons a teacher can tell you the pace your child is actually managing, and what that means in months.

Maths questions
How much does online maths tutoring cost?
Plans start at $85 a month for two 45-minute lessons a week, $119 for three and $149 for four — about $9.92 a lesson on the middle plan. There is no registration fee and no contract, and the trial lesson is free.
My child is behind. Can you catch them up?
Usually yes, and it starts by finding where the gap actually begins rather than where the class has reached. A child struggling with algebra is often struggling with fractions, and teaching the algebra harder does not fix that.
Do you help with school homework?
Yes, and it is often where a lesson starts, because homework is where the gaps surface. But a lesson spent only finishing tonight's homework does not close a gap, so the teacher will work on the underlying topic as well.
Do you prepare children for exams?
Yes — past papers, showing method so marks are not thrown away, working under time pressure, and what to do when you are stuck in the exam itself. Most lost marks are not lost to not knowing.
What year groups do you teach maths to?
Pre-K to Grade 8, covering counting and number sense through to algebra and geometry. The booking form asks for the grade, so the teacher is matched before the first lesson.

Absolutely. We cover foundational concepts, word problems, and past paper practice to build both skill and confidence.
English questions
How much does online English tutoring cost?
The monthly plan is $55 for eight 45-minute sessions, and the trial class is free. Weekly plans are also available. There is no registration fee and no contract.
Do you teach phonics?
Yes. Letter sounds, blending and segmenting, and decoding unfamiliar words rather than guessing them from the picture. It is where we start with any child who is not yet reading fluently, whatever their age.
My child can read but does not understand what they read. Can you help?
That is comprehension, and it is the most common reason marks slip in English. Lessons work on answering in full using evidence from the text, on inference, and on the habit of reading the question before answering it.
Is this suitable if English is not our first language at home?
Yes, and much of our teaching is exactly that. Lessons cover pronunciation and clarity — including the sounds that come hard to Urdu speakers — and speaking in full sentences without being corrected mid-flow.
Do you teach creative writing?
Yes: planning, structure, description and stories, taught inside your child's own writing rather than from a worksheet of other people's sentences. Spelling and grammar are corrected in their work as it is written.

What levels do you cover in English?
We teach from beginner (phonics & ABC) to advanced academic writing.
Do you help with school assignments?
Yes! Our tutors can assist with school curriculum and homework.
Can my child improve speaking skills?
Definitely. We focus on building confident communication in English.
Urdu questions
Do you teach Urdu script, or only Roman Urdu?
Urdu script, from the start. Roman Urdu is used as a bridge in the first lessons and then left behind. A child taught only in Roman can speak some Urdu and still cannot read a line their grandmother writes — which is usually why the family came looking in the first place.
How much do online Urdu classes cost?
Plans start at $85 a month for two 45-minute lessons a week, $119 for three and $149 for four. There is no registration fee and no contract, and the trial lesson is free.
My child understands Urdu but will not speak it. Can you start there?
That is the most common place we start, and it is a confidence problem more than a language one. Lessons begin with conversation about the child's own day rather than a textbook's, with nobody correcting every second word.
Do you teach writing as well as reading?
Yes — forming and joining Nastaliq letters, imla for spelling, and building up to a paragraph and then a letter a relative can actually read. Handwriting in Nastaliq is a skill of its own, and the part most programmes skip.
How long before my child can read Urdu?
It depends on their age and how often they practise between lessons, and any promise of a fixed number of weeks should be treated carefully. After a few lessons a teacher can tell you the pace your child is managing and what that means in months.
Is this for children born outside Pakistan?
Mostly, yes. Lessons are taught in English and Urdu together, so a child who understands little at the start is never lost, and the teaching assumes a child who hears Urdu at home but reads and writes in English everywhere else.
